Drafted in the second round (45th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins, Spooner brings an elite professional pedigree to the Rivermen. Throughout his impressive NHL career, the dynamic playmaker skated in 325 regular-season games, accumulating 48 goals and 119 assists for a total of 167 points. He spent the majority of his NHL tenure as a key offensive contributor for the Bruins, while also suiting up for the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks. Following his time in the NHL, Spooner continued to produce at a high level internationally, serving as an offensive catalyst over several highly successful seasons in the KHL, as well as making stops in Switzerland and Slovakia.
